Baked Feta Egg Recipe




Ingredients:

  • 75 grams (about 2.6 ounces) of feta cheese, crumbled

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 1/2 cup of cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh herbs (such as basil or parsley) for garnish



Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Prepare the Dish: Lightly grease a small oven-safe dish or ramekin with olive oil.

  3. Arrange Ingredients: Place the crumbled feta cheese in the dish. Arrange the cherry tomatoes around the cheese, and sprinkle the minced garlic on top.

  4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the feta cheese is soft and slightly browned.

  5. Add the Egg: Remove the dish from the oven. Make a small well in the feta and tomato mixture, and gently crack the egg into the well.

  6. Return to Oven: Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the egg white is set and the yolk is cooked to your liking.

  7. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve immediately.
