Canada might enter the fourth wave: Health Authorities

Canada is almost on the verge of entering into the fourth wave of the coronavirus. The number of cases peaked at 462, an increase of two-third comparing to the last two weeks.

Health authorities in Canada have warned the people to be very safe and precautious to prevent the fourth wave caused by the delta variant of the coronavirus. 81% of eligible people have done with at least one dose of the vaccination.

And 66% of people have fully done with the vaccination. But due to the strong transmissible power of the delta variant, the second dose of vaccination has to be increased said the experts.

Canada has recorded a five-fold increase in the proportion of Delta cases in June. 89.7% of new cases were reported in the unvaccinated population, just 0.5% in those fully vaccinated, and 4.6% in those partially vaccinated.

According to the modelling, the number of cases might reach 1,441,610 on August 8, from the current 1,430,046.
