Cristiano Ronaldo Is Almost Joining Manchester City This Summer

Cristiano Ronaldo, the veteran striker from the Portuguese, is almost signing an agreement with Manchester City. Manchester City's boss Pep Guardiola and Ronaldo spoke over the phone on Thursday ahead of Ronaldo's possible transfer from Juventus.

Manchester City initially was approached by Ronaldo's side for the transfer.

The Manchester club was originally cool on the idea and, their interest increased following confirmation on Wednesday that Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham Hotspur in this window.

Kane wrote, "It was incredible to see the reception from the Spurs fans on Sunday and to read some of the messages of support I’ve had in the last few weeks.

“I will be staying at Tottenham this summer and will be 100 per cent focused on helping the team achieve success.”

Juventus would require around €28 million before allowing Ronaldo to leave.

Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach is relaxed about the transfer deal but requires the club to sign another forward player to replace Ronaldo.

The transfer of Ronaldo is not yet confirmed however, Ronaldo has previously played for Manchester United, the rivals of Manchester City, between 2003 and 2009.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has played 98 games for Juventus and scoring 81 goals.
